Sketchy

A native image editor for macOS.

Paint.NET never made it to macOS, so this is that editor, written from scratch in AppKit. Layers, blend modes, an undo history you can click through, and a canvas that keeps your pixels sharp.

Layers

Fourteen blend modes, per-layer opacity, merge and reorder — with a history panel you can step back through at any point.

Nineteen tools

Selections, magic wand, brush, bucket, gradient, clone stamp, text, shapes — with the options bar changing to suit whichever you pick.

Pixel accurate

Scaling defaults to nearest neighbour, so pixel art stays crisp, and the status bar reads out selection sizes as you drag.

Yours to shape

Palettes dock into either side of the window or float free, and the layout is remembered between launches.
